elcome to the Basic Training – Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (BT–PSSR) course. This training is designed to build the mandatory competence in Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities under STCW Code Section A-VI/1, Table A-VI/1-4, enabling trainees to follow emergency procedures, observe safe working practices, contribute to effective communications and human relationships onboard, and comply with environmental protection measures, including contributing to the prevention of and response to violence and harassment. The course has a total indicative duration of twenty-four (24) instructional hours. The theoretical component is delivered through distance learning with an indicative duration of nineteen and a half (19.5) hours, and part of the practical activities will also be conducted through the distance learning modality. Upon completion of the theoretical part and the online practical activities, the trainee shall proceed to two and a half (2.5) hours of practical training conducted on-site. The actual duration may exceed the indicative hours depending on the trainee’s performance and progress, and the course is valid for one (1) year upon enrollment within which all theoretical and practical components must be completed.

This course will teach you the essential personal safety and social responsibility practices needed onboard ship—how to respond correctly during emergencies and drills, prevent pollution and protect the marine environment, follow safe working procedures including precautions for hazardous tasks, communicate effectively using good teamwork practices, maintain professional human relationships onboard, and take appropriate action to intervene in and report violence and harassment, including sexual harassment, bullying and sexual assault, with an understanding of trauma-informed response and support mechanisms. You will complete interactive online lessons and formative assessments through the LMS, and your progress will be monitored and recorded throughout the distance learning phase. On successful compliance with the course requirements, a Certificate of Training Completion shall be issued in accordance with Regulation VI/1 of the STCW Convention, 1978, as amended.

Welcome to the Basic Training – Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (BT–FPFF) course. This training is designed to build the mandatory competence in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting under STCW Code Section A-VI/1, Table A-VI/1-2, enabling trainees to minimize the risk of fire, maintain readiness to respond to fire emergencies, and fight and extinguish fires onboard. The course has a total indicative duration of sixteen (16) instructional hours, with the theoretical component delivered through Distance Learning for eight (8) hours, followed by eight (8) hours of practical training conducted on-site. The actual duration may exceed the indicative hours depending on the trainee’s performance and progress, and the course is valid for one (1) year upon enrollment within which all theoretical and practical components must be completed.

This course will teach you the essential fire prevention and firefighting actions needed onboard ship—how to recognize fire hazards and sources of ignition, understand fire behavior, respond correctly to alarms and shipboard procedures, use fire and smoke detection and alarm systems appropriately, and apply correct firefighting methods and extinguishing agents using shipboard equipment. You will complete interactive online lessons and formative assessments through the LMS to support your progress during the Distance Learning phase. Upon successful completion of the Distance Learning phase, you will be issued a Certificate of Attendance as a prerequisite to proceed to the practical training. Upon successful completion of the practical training and passing the required theoretical and practical assessments, a Certificate of Training Completion will be issued in accordance with Regulation VI/1 of the STCW Convention, 1978, as amended.

Welcome to the Basic Training – Personal Survival Techniques (BT–PST) course. This training is designed to build the mandatory competence in Personal Survival Techniques under STCW Code Section A-VI/1, Table A-VI/1-1, enabling trainees to survive at sea in the event of ship abandonment. The course has a total indicative duration of sixteen (16) instructional hours, as enumerated in Part B – Course Outline.

This training is designed to build the mandatory competence in Elementary First Aid under STCW Code Section A-VI/1, Table A-VI/1-3, enabling trainees to take immediate action when faced with an accident or medical emergency onboard. The course has an indicative duration of 16 instructional hours, with the theoretical component delivered through Distance Learning (8 hours), supported by guided learning activities and instructor monitoring.
